Face Yoga

Face yoga is included in my Sunday morning online class.

Just like our bodies, with over 40 muscles, our faces also need exercise. The same yoga principles we use to keep our bodies fit and youthful can be used for our face. I’ve only recently introduced face yoga into my practice and classes, and it’s become a daily routine for me because it really helps to wake me up! Here are a few other benefits:

 
  1. It helps to slows down the ageing process

  2. It’s completely natural and doesn’t require toxic facial products or procedures

  3. It releases the tension we are prone to holding in our face and neck.

  4. It reduces wrinkles caused by tensing our eyes and mouth.

  5. It builds awareness so that we can relax muscles when we feel tension rising.

  6. It can help to eliminate a double chin.

  7. It promotes collagen production through muscle activity.

  8. Applying pressure to the marma points on our face unblocks energy, releases toxins, nourishes and energises.

  9. Just a few facial exercises at the start of a day really helps to feel brighter and more relaxed.
